The 2024 Gender Snapshot for Gaza reveals a humanitarian crisis disproportionately impacting women and girls. With 47,400 casualties—59% being women, children, and the elderly—and 112,000 injuries, the toll is devastating. Economic survival is bleak, as 95% of businesses employing women have shut down, leaving countless families without income. The crisis extends to basic needs, with 1.1 million women and girls lacking access to clean water, 690,000 living in overcrowded shelters, and 328,000 girls out of school, stripped of their right to education. These shocking statistics underscore the magnitude of suffering and the urgent need for global support to protect and empower women in Gaza.
