Donors community

In the occupied Palestinian territory, UN Women has expanded its strategic partnership with Local Aid Coordination Secretariat (LACS) in order to influence the donor community’s alignment with national gender equality and women’s empowerment priorities. UN Women is also working directly with donor governments on strategic issues arising from global inter-governmental processes, including preparation for and follow-up of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the post-2015 debate,  Beijing +20, to name only a few.

UN Women was established by the international community to be a strong voice on gender equality and women’s empowerment.  As such, UN Women relies on the contributions of member states through voluntary contributions and programme funds in order to fulfil its expansive and ambitious mandate.
