Private sector

The private sector is a strategic partner for UN Women in the occupied Palestinian territory, both in terms of creating space for women’s transformative leadership and decision-making, as well as in creating decent work for many of the highly educated yet unemployed Palestinian women looking for work.

UN Women’s strategic plan for 2014-2016 will be focusing on creating partnerships with several private sector companies based on the Women’s Empowerment Principles.  UN Women will also be developing a gender equality seal for private sector companies.
