Rule of Law Programme: Call for proposals for Civil Society Organizations
Date:
UN Women Palestine Country Office is launching a call for proposals for Civil Society Organizations engaged in the areas of research, monitoring, awareness and capacity development in the rule of law and community access to justice in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in support to the implementation of the Rule of Law Joint Programme.
Since 2014, UN Women and UNDP have jointly implemented a 3-year programme “Strengthening the Rule of Law in the oPt: Justice and Security for the Palestinian People” (2014-2017). The Joint Programme responds to calls from security and justice institutions for increasing accountability of the Rule of Law in Palestine. More specifically, the Joint Programme works to strengthen the capacities of, and public confidence in, rule of law institutions and improving access to justice, security and protection services, especially for women and girls.
Under the Rule of Law Joint Programme, UN Women focuses on:
- Enhancing Civil Society’s contribution to the rule of law and community access to justice in the Gaza Strip;
- Strengthening the gender responsiveness of justice, security and legislative actors;
- Improving women and girls’ access to justice and security by ensuring accountable service provision to prevent, protect and respond to violence and by addressing their broader legal needs.
Within this framework, UN Women seeks to partner with Civil Society Organisations that are interested to contribute to fulfill the objectives of this programme. Interested Civil Society Organizations are invited to submit their full proposal before Wednesday 6 May 2015 to palestine.procurement@unwomen.org.
The application package with all relevant information, guidelines and documents can be accessed here.
